Spatial Inequality in Water Access

My research in the Coachella Valley examines how existing water insecurity in the Eastern Coachella Valley emerged, expanded, and is exacerbated by local, regional, and federal policies.

In Spring 2023, I was selected as a Degree Candidate Processional Marshall where I gave a speech for the 2023 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony on birthing and dissertations.

In Spring 2024, the CSULA Geography program offered GIS for Community Advocacy for the first time. In this class, we explore concepts from critical cartography, critical GIS, and open GIS and how GIS (and GIS software) can be used as a tool to advance community change.
