Jessica Bremner

Urban Planner & Geographer

Hello. I'm Jessica. You can find me throughout Los Angeles: teaching at California State University, Los Angeles as an Assistant Professor of Urban Geography, gardening at Solano Community Garden, biking at Ciclavia, to start. Before joining CSULA, I was a practicing urban planner specializing in creative community engagement.

I've been imagining, practicing, reading, and writing about spatial justice in and outside of cities for over 15 years. Something I hope to continue to do for much longer. Collaborate with me!

New Work:

When I'm not in the classroom, you might find me gardening, learning how to be a mama, researching connections between space, race, and gender, scrolling architectural and design blogs, or reading dystopian novels.
